Installation
You can install the Mem0 Chrome Extension using one of the following methods:
Method 1: Chrome Web Store Installation
- Download the Extension: Open Google Chrome and navigate to the Mem0 Chrome Extension page.
- Add to Chrome: Click on the “Add to Chrome” button.
- Confirm Installation: In the pop-up dialog, click “Add extension” to confirm. The Mem0 icon should now appear in your Chrome toolbar.
Method 2: Manual Installation
- Download the Extension: Clone or download the extension files from the Mem0 Chrome Extension GitHub repository.
- Access Chrome Extensions: Open Google Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions. - Enable Developer Mode: Toggle the “Developer mode” switch in the top right corner.
- Load Unpacked Extension: Click “Load unpacked” and select the directory containing the extension files.
- Confirm Installation: The Mem0 Chrome Extension should now appear in your Chrome toolbar.
Usage
Locate the Mem0 Icon: After installation, find the Mem0 icon in your Chrome toolbar.
Sign In: Click the icon and sign in with your Google account.
Interact with AI Assistants:
- ChatGPT and Perplexity: Continue your conversations as usual; Mem0 operates seamlessly in the background.
- Claude: Click the Mem0 button or use the shortcut
Ctrl + Mto activate memory functions.
Configuration
- API Key: Obtain your API key from the Mem0 Dashboard to connect the extension to the Mem0 API.
- User ID: This is your unique identifier in the Mem0 system. If not provided, it defaults to
chrome-extension-user.
